There are weddings - and then there are weddings that feel like they were lifted straight from a dream. Helen and Adrian’s celebration at the iconic Villa Erba was exactly that. Traveling all the way from Australia to Lake Como, they chose one of the most breathtaking locations in the world to say I do, surrounded by timeless architecture, lush gardens and the lake.

Despite waking up to rain, the day unfolded with a kind of cinematic magic that only Italy can offer. The rain didn’t stop the celebration - if anything, it made it more intimate and romantic. Guests gathered under umbrellas and the atmosphere felt charming and intimate. And just when it was time for Helen and Adrian’s couple portraits, the rain stopped as if the universe had planned it all along.

The reception design was one of our favorite elements of the day. Keeping the palette clean and white allowed the natural beauty of Villa Erba to stand out. Rows of candles added warmth, while transparent modern chairs introduced a contemporary touch that balanced the historical setting. The result was a refined space that photographed beautifully. From the planning to the styling, every detail was handled with precision, creating a seamless experience for Helen and Adrian and their guests. It was a true example of how luxury and simplicity can work together effortlessly.
